Local GOP

The Whatcom GOP has a great website as do the Washington State Republicans if you’d like to know their official positions on issues and candidates.  The views expressed on this website are my own and do not represent any official message nor position of Whatcom GOP, nor any level of the Republican Party.

I do serve on the Whatcom Republicans Executive Board, but on this blog I speak my mind.  You won’t find me being a  “yes man” for the party.   I think the wide variety of people, opinions, and positions within the Republican Party makes them a stronger group.  It’s great to see so many individuals coming together working for the common good of our nation.

These are the issues that are most important to me as an individual:

• Less government and lower taxes
• Private property rights
• Protecting human life from conception to natural death
• Respecting traditional marriage
• Religious liberty
• Judges respecting the Constitution
• Border security
• National security
• Reduce dependence on foreign goods

I’ll be the first to say that not everyone in our diverse group see things the way I do on these issues, but given the two major political parties, the Republican Party is the one I feel is aimed in the right direction.

If you are like minded on these issues I urge you to get involved or at least get aware of what is happening in the local GOP.
