I’m old enough to remember history, but not so old to have forgotten it. I can remember that catchy old saying:
I ran, you ran, we all ran from Iran.
And I can remember how embarrassed I felt. How embarrased that American civilian hostages suffered for months because we didn’t have the political nor military power to confront the Iranians.
Here we are in a stare down with Iran again. How much better does it feel to be facing Iran with a strong President and a powerful military.
I ran, you ran, we all ran from Iran.
25 years locked in my head, and now it’s out.
